Aprilia RSV4 Factory – Top Five Highlights

Aprilia finally debuted its entire lineup for India, including the Italian marquee’s flagship offering, the RSV4 Factory. The bike packs a ton of exciting bits and here is a list of the same.

Design

In typical Aprilia fashion, the RSV4 factory features a sharp and thoroughbred race-oriented design. Its fascia includes a split LED headlight that looks sleek and extremely aerodynamic. The setup is topped by a transparent visor and the RSV4 Factory’s rider stance is aggressive and committed. Aprilia is currently offering the bike in only one paint scheme – Ultra Gold. It comprises the bodywork coloured in white and black with golden stripes in between. Here, the front wheel comes painted in golden colour while the rear unit is draped in black.

Engine

Powering the Aprilia RSV4 Factory is a 1099cc, liquid-cooled, V4 engine. It belts out 214bhp at 13,000rpm and 125Nm at 10,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a quickshifter too. Not to mention, the Aprilia RSV4’s exhaust note is just as likeable as its looks.

Hardware

A premium motorcycle like the RSV4 Factory’s package must include top-of-the-shelf hardware too, and it does. The suspension setup comprises Ohlins 43mm electronically adjustable front USD forks and the rear gets an Ohlins monoshock. The braking duties are done by a dual 330mm front Brembo Stylema setup and a 220mm rear disc. These are linked to 17-inch forged aluminium wheels. The Aprilia RSV4 Factory tips the scale at 202kg.

Features

Backing up the firepower is a list of rider aids on the bike. It includes six ride modes, lean-sensitive traction control and ABS, engine maps and engine brake control settings. All of these features are accessed via a colour TFT display. Then, it also gets launch control, wheelie control, speed limiter, and cruise control.

Price

Like all the other Aprilia bikes, the RSV4 Factory also demands a high asking price. It retails at Rs. 31.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the Ducati Panigale V4S that costs Rs. 33.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
