New Maruti Dzire – All Expected Features & Changes

Maruti Suzuki Dzire, India’s highest selling sedan, is now ready to undergo a generational change. The carmaker has confirmed that its all-new model will arrive in the second half of 2024, possibly near around Diwali season. We have seen the 2024 new Maruti Dzire in its initial prototype avatar with heavy camouflage revealing some of its design details and features. Entering into its third-generation, the compact sedan will witness comprehensive changes in terms of design, interior and engine mechanism. Here’s a brief of all details of the new Dzire we have know so far.

The 2024 Maruti Dzire will underpin the heavily modified version of Suzuki’s Heartect platform as we will see in the upcoming new Swift hatchback. Significant changes will be made to its front and rear profile. The compact sedan will feature a newly-designed and bigger front grille, revised front bumper with pronounced creases and a clamshell bonnet. The side profile could be revised with the newly-designed 5-spoke alloy wheels, new door design and pillars. The new Maruti Dzire will have a completely revised rear end. However, it’s likely to share the sheet metal parts with the new Swift.

Interior of the all-new Dzire will share a resemblance with the Fronx compact crossover. One of the major highlights will be addition of a single-pane sunroof, which was confirmed by a spy shot. There are reports suggesting that the compact sedan might also get a 360 degree camera along with an updated infotainment system, a new instrument cluster with a digital MID, automatic AC with toggle-style controls, a new steering wheel and rear air-con vents. It might get a dual-tone interior theme in lighter shade.

Engine bay will employ Suzuki’s new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine replacing the existing motor. The new gasoline unit will be good enough for 82bhp and 108Nm. It can also be had with the mild hybrid tech featuring a DC synchronous motor. It will give a power and torque boost of 3.1bhp and 60Nm, respectively. The new Maruti Dzire will come with the same 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
