Bajaj NS400 spotted before launch!

– Front profile derived from the new NS and N

– Likely to be powered by a liquid-cooled motor borrowed from the Triumph range

– Will get smartphone connectivity too

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 has been spotted at what appears to be a dealer yard just a few days before its official launch. The spy shots reveal the design and hardware details of the most powerful and expensive Pulsar yet.

The Pulsar NS400’s profile has taken a page out of the N250 and NS200’s books. It gets thunder-shaped LED DRLs like the NS and the centre-set projector LED headlight like the N. Overall, the front end appears muscular and aggressive, to say the least.

Then, there appears to be a radiator shroud as well. So, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 could get a liquid-cooled engine which we think could be borrowed from the current Dominar 400. For reference, it is a 373cc motor and makes 39.42bhp and a torque of 35 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

On the hardware front, it appears that the NS400 uses slightly slimmer golden-coloured USD front forks and a monoshock. Its brakes include a single front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Apart from LED illumination, we expect the NS400 to use a fully digital screen with Bluetooth connectivity for call/SMS notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation too. You can also expect it to get a USB charging port.

Bajaj is likely to offer the Pulsar NS400 in multiple colour options. Its asking price could be between the Rs 2-2.3 lakh range. Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R and TVS Apache RTR 310.
