India’s first CNG bike from Bajaj is set to roll out on June 18, 2024. The upcoming model has been seen undergoing multiple test runs, which has allowed us to gather some intriguing details. According to a recently leaked patent image, the new Bajaj CNG bike will be built on a double cradle frame with braces to hold the CNG cylinder in place. The petrol tank will be clearly visible, while the CNG cylinder will be located just below the rider’s seat in the center, with the filling nozzle facing the front end.
Official details about the new Bajaj CNG bike have not been revealed yet. However, the recently leaked design image suggests it will feature a ‘sloper engine’ with petrol tanks and a CNG cylinder. Speculation indicates that the company might use a 125cc engine for its upcoming motorcycle. Previous spy images show that the new CNG bike from Bajaj will have a blue switch on the left side of the switchgear, likely for changing the fuel mode.
Talking about the design, the new Bajaj CNG bike will have an LED headlamp, a bulbous fuel tank, a braced handlebar with knuckle guards, a heel-and-toe gear shifter, a larger tyre hugger, a front leg guard, a rear saree guard, and an upswept exhaust. It will feature 17-inch alloy wheels with narrow tyres and a digital instrument cluster. The suspension setup will consist of a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking system will include a front disc and a rear drum, with a single-channel ABS (antilock braking system) for added safety.
