5 Most Expensive Motorcycles On Sale In India

While the Indian market is brimming with affordable two-wheelers right now, there’s no dearth of machines for those who want exoticness and are willing to splurge. From ballistic track tools to 2bhk-like grand tourers, there’s quite a variety for the rich folks to choose from. In case you’re one of them and are wondering what the Indian two-wheeler scene has on offer on the expensive side of the spectrum, here’s a list.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R

As mind-boggling as the Kawasaki Ninja H2R is, you won’t be able take it out on the road and flaunt it because it’s not road-legal. However, this track-only motorcycle will grab eyeballs and drop jaws at track days, mainly for its sheer price and the engineering marvel that it is. Its supercharged, 998cc, inline-four motor produces as much as 305.7bhp which can be further bumped up to 321.8 with RAM Air. There’s more to the bike than the just insanely powerful engine and you have to shell out Rs. 79.90 lakh for all of it.

Ducati Panigale V4 R

The Ducati Panigale V4 R might not be as special as the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, mainly in terms of engine specifications, but it can be ridden on the road. And unless you’ve got riding skills to match with Valentino Rossi, the slight dearth in power output over the H2R will never be noticed. The 998cc, V4 engine of this Italian beauty makes 221bhp and 112Nm. It’s crammed with electronic aids to the brim, the hardware package is world-class, and an abundance of carbon fiber components means it weighs just 193kg. Ducati demands Rs. 70 lakh for this homologation special offering.

BMW M 1000 RR

Just like the Panigale V4 R, the BMW M 1000 RR is another WSBK homologation special which represents the German brand’s racing prowess. Do not mistake this for the S 1000 RR’s fancier-looking iteration since BMW has even revised its chassis to make it more track-worthy. BMW has bestowed it with a plethora of carbon fiber parts, more so for the Competition variant. This 209bhp, 999cc beast sets you back by Rs. 49 lakh if you choose the standard trim while the Competition model demands Rs. 6 lakh premium.

Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special

If flamboyance is somewhere on top of your list of requirements then the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special is the one to go for. The bulbous batwing-style fairing and massive panniers give it such a road presence that even four-wheelers should make way for it on the road. And it’s not just all show because Harley has equipped the bike with a long list of comfort and entertainment-oriented features along with a 1,868cc, V-twin powerhouse that produces 92.5bhp and 158Nm. Rs. 41.79 lakh is what you need to shell out to bring home this American intercontinental mile-muncher.

Honda Goldwing Tour

The Honda Goldwing Tour offers almost the same amount of flamboyance as the Harley but with better reliability, finesse, and refinement. The 1,833cc, flat-six engine of the Goldwing is a peach and offers a level of smoothness that’s difficult to match by any other engine configuration. Adding to the seamless experience is its seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system. Moreover, this is the only production bike in the world that gets airbag as standard and that’s just one example of the insane gadgetry it packs in. It is priced at Rs. 39.20 lakh.
