TVS recently launched the new Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition in India. The motorcycle features a few visual changes compared to the standard model. Let’s take a look at the top five highlights of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition.
Styling
True to its name, the new Apache RTR 160 4V features an all-black theme. Everything is decked out in a dark shade, from the bodywork to the cycle parts, creating a sleek and stealthy look. The clean design keeps things simple, with no graphics cluttering the body panels. The only markings you’ll find are the black TVS logo on the tank, along with subtle ‘Apache’ and ‘RTR 160 4V’ stickers on the sides and tail, respectively.
Features
The motorcycle stands out with its class-leading features such as three riding modes, digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity on select variants, LED lighting all around, and Glide Through Technology (GTT) that makes crawling through traffic a breeze.
Specifications
Powering the Apache RTR 160 4V is a 159.7cc, oil-cooled motor that pumps out 17.31bhp and a peak torque of 14.73Nm. It comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle offers excellent handling courtesy of its well-tuned suspension and a light kerb weight of 144kg.
Cycle Parts
Besides the visual changes, the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition remains unchanged mechanically. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, while suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the back. Braking hardware includes a front disc brake and a rear drum brake on the Black Edition.
Price
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition is priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The pricing is similar to the most affordable version of the bike, which misses out on Bluetooth connectivity and a rear disc brake.
