– New 450cc custom bike unveiled
– Flat tracker 450 based on Himalayan 450
– Will be used for training, races
Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off of yet another 450cc motorcycle. This time it is a flat tracker built on the 450cc platform.
This is the second 450cc motorcycle that the company has officially unveiled – the first being the Himalayan 450. However, this is a custom motorcycle and it is unlikely to go into production. But there’s a high chance Royal Enfield will replace the FT 411 with this new flat tracker for its events and competitions.
From the pictures, it is clear that Royal Enfield has used the Himalayan 450 platform but has removed all the unnecessary components. On this flat tracker 450, the company has used lighter body panels, the handlebar is different and even the front suspension is new – probably borrowed from the soon-to-be-launched Guerrilla 450. The single-seat is quite flat and also long. The tyres are also different and are from Maxxis. This bike also gets a smaller instrument cluster and a race exhaust.
As mentioned above, Royal Enfield has no plans to launch the production version of this bike. It will be used for flat-tracking training and races that the company conducts across the country and also in some parts of the UK.
