Tata Altroz Racer is set to hit showrooms on 7th June 2024, and ahead of its arrival, booking windows have been opened nationwide. It’s essentially the sportier version of the Altroz hatchback that will be offered in three variants – R1, R2 and R3 – powered by the 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The motor, which is borrowed from the Nexon, delivers a peak power of 120bhp and 170Nm of torque. The Racer Edition will be made available only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Compared to the regular Altroz, the entry-level Altroz Racer R1 variant has more features on-board. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker audio system, leatherette seats, leather wrapped gear knob, steering wheel and front sliding armrest, a 4-inch semi-analogue instrument cluster, ambient lighting, smart key with push button start stop, all four power windows, electrically adjustable and autofold ORVMs, height adjustable driver seat, rear AC vents, 6 airbags and cruise control. On the exterior, the R1 variant features auto headlamps, front fog lamps, LED DRLs, rain sensing wipers, R16 alloy wheels and sporty, rear defogger and sporty exhaust.

Features such as wireless charger, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, voice activated electric sunroof, 360 degree camera (first-in-segment), blind view monitor (first-in-segment) and Xpress cool are available from the R2 variant onwards. The top-end R3 variant comes with three exclusive features including air purifier, front ventilated seats (first-in-segment), and iRQ connected car tech.

The Tata Altroz Racer has Orange-Black interior theme with Orange highlights on the central console and AC vents. The racing Orange and White stripes on seats, and footwell lights add more to its sporty appearance. On the exterior, the dual-tone colour scheme with racing stripes running on the roof and bonnet along with the blacked-out finish on the front grille, bumper, all three pillars and alloy wheels differentiate it from the regular Altroz. Buyers will have three exterior colour options to choose from – Pure Grey, Atomic Orange and Avenue White.
