Husqvarna Svartpilen 901 teased again ahead of launch

– To be based on the KTM 890 Duke platform

– Will be launched on 5 March

– Powered by an 889cc, parallel-twin motor

Husqvarna Motorcycles has released yet another teaser of the upcoming Svartpilen 901 ahead of its global debut in Europe. The scrambler will be based on the KTM 890 Duke platform and is likely to be launched in Europe on 5 March, 2024.

The new teaser video released on Husqvarna’s official Instagram handle offers a glimpse into the styling of the Svartpilen 901. Although the motorcycle in the teaser is camouflaged, things like the round LED headlamp, sleek tail section and the upswept exhaust are clearly visible. We also know that the motorcycle will ride on five-spoke alloy wheels and dual-purpose tyres.

Under the chassis, the Svartpilen 901 will use an 889cc, parallel-twin motor, which also powers the Husqvarna Norden 901 and the KTM 890 Duke R. This engine churns out 121bhp at 9,250rpm and 99Nm at 7,750rpm in the 890 Duke R. It will be linked with a six-speed gearbox while an assist and slipper clutch will be standard.

The wheels on the Svartpilen 901 will be 17-inch alloys with dual-purpose rubber to go dirty dancing. In the global markets, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 901 will compete against the Yamaha XSR 900, Kawasaki Z900RS, Ducati Scrambler, and the KTM 890 Duke R.
