The Kawasaki Vulcan S has received a massive discount of Rs 60,000. The discount is part of Kawasaki India’s Good Times Voucher scheme wherein customers can redeem it against the ex-showroom price of the Vulcan S that stands at Rs 7.10 lakh. Post redeeming the voucher, the price drops to Rs 6.5 lakh. The offer is valid till 31 March or till stocks last.
The Kawasaki Vulcan S is a cruiser that shares its engine with the Ninja 650. In the Vulcan, however, the 649cc parallel-twin engine makes 60bhp at 7,500rpm and 62.4Nm at 6,600rpm. These figures are slightly lower than the Ninja 650’s and are in keeping with the cruiser application of the Vulcan S.
That said, the Vulcan S’ engine feels quite sporty for a cruiser and unlike the meaty low end grunt that you’d expect of a motorcycle of this format, it has a more rev-happy nature with a strong top end rush.
The styling of the Vulcan S is quite unique with its large, teardrop tank, curved fenders and low slung stance. While the design is attractive, it has been around for quite some time. The feature list is also basic by today’s standards.
