2024 Indian FTR unveiled in swanky new colours

– Standard, Sport and R Carbon variants get new colours

– 1,203cc, twin-cylinder engine remains unchanged

– Not available in India

Indian Motorcycle has taken the wraps off the 2024 edition of its flat-tracker, the FTR, for the international markets. Three variants of the motorcycle, including standard, Sport, and R Carbon, have received new colour schemes while remaining mechanically unchanged.

The FTR standard will now be available in the new Indy Red/Black colour which boasts a red fuel tank with a slash of white while the rest of the components are finished in black. The Sport variant, meanwhile, has been introduced in two colours for 2024 – Storm Grey/Red and Granite Gray/Blue. The former is the swankier-looking of the two with grey bodywork and red chassis and alloy wheels. On the other hand, the latter is more understated with an all-black theme and subtle blue accents sprinkled on top. The Carbon variant is the most stealth-looking of the lot with a full-black bodywork, burgundy frame and alloys, and carbon fibre on the fuel tank and front fender.

All the Indian FTR models continue to be powered by a 1,203cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 121bhp and 117Nm of peak torque. They ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod with Metzeler Sportec tyres and brought to a halt by Brembo brakes. As for the features, the Sport and R Carbon trims come equipped with a four-inch TFT screen accompanied by Indian’s Ride Command system. Further, three selectable riding modes including Rain, Standard, and Sport remain common across variants.

Indian Motorcycle’s Indian portfolio doesn’t comprise the FTR as of now. However, the American bike maker might launch it on our shores in the future.
