2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP launched in the UK!

– Powered by a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine

– Features LED illumination, ride modes, launch control and more

– Could be launched in India too

Honda has launched its flagship supersport, the CBR1000RR-R, in the UK. The Japanese litre class is being offered in two trims for 2023 – Fireblade SP and Fireblade SP Carbon Edition. Here is what the bike has to offer.

Taking inspiration from its MotoGP bike, the new Honda CBR1000RR-R boasts an aggressive, and purebred sportsbike attire. It gets split LED headlights with a duct in-between to channel the air inside. Then, the aerodynamic bodywork is further supported by appendages for added downforce at higher speeds. Naturally, the standard model comes draped in Grand Prix Red while the Carbon Edition wears Matte Pearl Morion Black. Honda will limit the Carbon Edition to 300 units only and it is loaded with carbon fibre body parts.

Powering the 2024 CBR1000RR-R is a 999cc inline four-cylinder motor that makes 214bhp at 14,000rpm and 113Nm at 12,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter. Further, Honda has also equipped the CBR1000RR-R with an Akrapovic exhaust system.

Along with LED illumination, the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R gets five levels of power modes, nine levels of traction control, three-level engine brake control, wheelie control, ABS, and more. All these rider aids are monitored by the five-inch TFT.

The hardware setup on the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R consists of Ohlins USD front forks and rear monoshock, both fully adjustable, while, the braking duties are performed by a twin 330mm front and a single 220mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels shoed with 120/70 front and 200/55 rear Pirelli tyres.

In the UK, the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is priced at GBP 23,499 (approximately Rs 25 lakh sans taxes) and the Carbon Edition costs GBP 26,749 (approximately Rs. 28.42 lakh sans taxes). Honda India could bring the 2024 CBR 1000RR-R to India sometime this year.
