Honda has registered the design of yet another motorcycle in India. This time, it is of the 2024 Africa Twin, and that too of the Adventure Sports variant.
For 2024, the Japanese brand has given Africa Twin some aesthetic as well as engine upgrades. The bike has received minor changes to the front fairing, enhancing the overall visual appeal. This variant is now available in both suspension options – manual suspension adjustment and also electronic. The Africa Twin Adventure Sports is now available with a 19-inch front wheel and shorter suspension travel on both sides. This has been done as the Japanese brand wants to position the variant as a road-oriented model.
The new model’s 1,084cc, parallel-twin engine produces more torque at 112Nm and it comes in much earlier. This has been achieved by tweaking the airbox diameter, valves, and fuel injectors. The ECU settings have been optimised, too. The DCT gearbox has also been improved to provide a better ride experience.
With this design trademark registration, it is clear that Honda will launch the 2024 Africa Twin in India. Just like the older models, this one too will be assembled in India and sold through BigWing dealerships. The pricing is however likely to be marginally higher compared to the older model.
