Royal Enfield Classic 650 spotted testing, new details revealed!

– Will be powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin engine

– Features could include an LED headlight, bulb indicators and more

– Spotted testing overseas

We have just come across new and clear spy shots of the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650. It was spotted testing overseas and here is everything we know about it.

The Classic 650 takes design inspiration from the Classic 350. Moreover, the Classic brand is popular in India as well as the international market. So, it makes sense for Royal Enfield to bring the Classic 650 before the Bullet 650. While the latter is also in the pipeline, its popularity is limited to the Indian market. So, the Classic 650 has more global reach and it will debut sometime next year.

Royal Enfield will use the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine for the new Classic, as it does for the Super Meteor, Shotgun, Interceptor, and Continental GT. The engine dishes out 47bhp and 52Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

As seen here, its hardware comprises telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, a single disc at both ends, and dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on spoke wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres. Along with an LED headlight, the Classic 650 is also expected to come with a dual-pod console.

Royal Enfield will position the Classic 650 between the Interceptor and the Continental GT and its asking price could be around Rs. 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
