Honda Elevate, City With 6 Airbags & More Safety Features

Honda Cars India has added new safety features to its entire range including the City, City hybrid, Amaze and the Elevate mid-sized SUV. The Honda Elevate and City sedan are now equipped with six airbags, seat belt reminder for all 5 seats and 3-point emergency locking retractor (ELR seat belts) as standard.

The Honda Elevate also comes with adjustable head restraints for all 5 passengers along with driver & co-driver vanity mirror. The company has also added a digi-analogue instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT Display. On the other hand, the City sedan base variant gets a new 4.2-inch TFT display for the instrument console. The VX mid-trim is now offered with an 8-speaker premium sound system and a rear sunshade.

The addition of new features resulted in a price hike for both Honda Elevate and City. The Elevate SUV is now priced in the range of Rs 11.91 lakh to Rs 16.43 lakh, with base variant getting pricier by Rs 22,000. The City sedan is now priced between Rs 12.08 lakh and Rs 16.35 lakh. It was earlier priced in the range of Rs 11.82 lakh to Rs 16.30 lakh.

The Honda City and Elevate are powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

The Honda City e:HEV is now available in a single range-topping ZX variant, which is priced at Rs 20.55 lakh. Adding to it, Honda has discontinued the entry-level E variant of the Amaze sedan. The small sedan is now priced in the range of Rs 7.93 lakh to Rs 9.86 lakh. Both models are now equipped with seat belt reminders for all 5-seats. The City hybrid gets a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine that offers a combined power output of 126bhp. The Amaze gets a 90bhp, 110Nm, 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
