Upcoming two-wheeler launches in April — 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250, Hero Xoom 160 and more

The Indian two-wheeler market is set to welcome the new financial year with quite a few new two-wheeler launches including electric scooters, ADV bikes, and more. Here is a list of all the two-wheelers that we are expecting to debut this month.

Ather Rizta

The lineup is quite exciting and the first one on this list is the Ather Rizta. Yes, this will be a brand new entry from Ather in the EV space. From all the spy shots that we have come across, it is clear that the Rizta will be bigger than the current Ather 450 models, and also slightly more conservative on the design front. It appears futuristic and leans more towards function rather than form. We also know that the Rizta will get a large underseat storage, a large seat, and will be targeted towards buyers looking for a one-stop family scooter.

Ather will launch the Rizta on 6 April at the Athe Community Day and we expect the asking price to be around Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Bajaj Pulsar N250

Just a couple of days ago, we reported that Bajaj is working on the updated Pulsar N250 and that it will feature several updates. The list includes new rider aids like ABS modes, traction control, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, new USD front forks, a wider rear tyre, and a couple of new paint schemes as well.

The said updates will also lead to a notable price hike. We expect the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 to demand about Rs. 10,000 more than the current model. So, its asking price is likely to be around Rs. 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hero Xoom 160

Another scooter to debut in April is the Hero Xoom 160. Hero already unveiled it at the EICMA last year and then we saw it in person at the Bharat Mobility Show as well as the Hero World 2024. By the looks of it, the Xoom 160 looked promising and could put Hero on the map for premium scooters as well.

It gets a 156cc, single-cylinder unit that is said to develop 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The Xoom 160 has a tall stance and muscular design which not only seems stylish but quite purposeful too. In terms of features, you can expect the Xoom 160 to come with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets keyless ignition, remote boot access and full LED illumination.

Hero is likely to price the Xoom 160 around Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the launch could happen in the next couple of weeks.

BMW R 1300 GS

One of the few big bikes which are looking forward to debuting in April is the BMW R 1300 GS. The new BMW ADV has been on sale internationally sale for a few months and now BMW will bring it to India by the end of this month.

The R 1300 looks notably different as it has received a new headlight, a slimmer profile from up top and a larger 1300cc boxer engine. It belts out 145bhp with 149Nm and the engine comes with a six-speed gearbox.

In typical BMW fashion, the R 1300 GS gets features like multi-level traction control, ABS, ride modes and radar-based assistance. This allows Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning and Lane Change Warning.

The asking price for the upcoming BMW R 1300 GS is likely to be around Rs. 23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda CBR650R

Honda too is looking to re-enter the middleweight supersport market with the 2024 CBR650R. The bike was launched in Europe back in February and could make its debut in India around the end of this month. It gets a sharper and fresher design, more aligned with the CBR1000RR-R, a couple of new paint schemes and more features including traction control, ABS, full LED illumination, and a TFT console with smartphone connectivity.

The 2024 Honda CBR650R gets the same 649cc inline four-cylinder engine. It belts out 94bhp and 62.3Nm and the hardware also remains the same. The asking price for the CBR650R in Europe is around 7.69 lakh but we think it could cost about Rs. 8 lakh in India.
