2024 New-Gen Honda Amaze – Top Expected Changes

Honda Cars India is readying the next-gen Amaze sedan for a launch around the festive season of Diwali later this year in the country. The new-generation model of Honda Amaze would continue to rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. The brand’s entry-level sedan will undergo a complete overhaul in terms of design and architecture. Here in this piece, we have listed the top expected changes in the 2024 Honda Amaze.

2024 Honda Amaze Platform

The third-gen Honda Amaze will use the same model that underpins the City sedan and Elevate SUV. The platform will be slightly revised to accommodate the much-shorter wheelbase of the Amaze while keeping the overall length of the sedan under 4 metres. Honda City and Honda Elevate have wheelbase of 2600 mm and 2650 mm, respectively. The current-gen Honda Amaze has a wheelbase of 2470 mm, which is a good 130 mm shorter than the City sedan.

2024 Honda Amaze Design

The new-gen Amaze will get a stylish and premium design, which will be inspired from the bigger company cars sold in the global markets. For instance, the second-gen Amaze which debuted in 2018, took styling cues from the Accord sedan of that time, and it won’t be surprising if Honda follows the same path yet again for the new-gen Amaze.

2024 Honda Amaze Features

The next-gen Honda Amaze will get a fresh cabin with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, which could be sourced from the Elevate SUV. Several other features could be shared with other Honda cars in India in order to keep the pricing aggressive.

2024 Honda Amaze Engine Specs

The next-gen Honda Amaze will be a petrol-only model with the same naturally aspirated 1.2L 4-cylinder engine at the helm of affairs. This mill develops top power of 89 bhp and peak torque of 110 Nm with the current-gen model, while paired with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. Honda has discontinued diesel engines in India so there is no chance that Amaze will get a diesel powertrain.
