The MG Hector Blackstorm Edition, a sportier all-black variant of the SUV, has finally gone on sale in India. Buyers can choose from two variants: the Sharp Pro petrol CVT priced at Rs 21.25 lakh and the Sharp Pro diesel manual priced at Rs 21.95 lakh.
The MG Hector Plus Blackstorm Edition is available in three variants: the Sharp Pro petrol-CVT 7-seater priced at Rs 21.98 lakh, the diesel-MT 6-seater priced at Rs 22.76 lakh, and the diesel-MT 7-seater priced at Rs 22.55 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom. Following the Astor and Gloster, the Hector becomes the brand’s third offering to receive the all-black Blackstorm Edition.

What sets this special edition apart? The MG Hector Blackstorm Edition is painted in the Starry black color scheme with gun-metal finish and red accents. Notable features include gun metal black finish on the front grille, lining of both bumpers, MG’s signature logo, cladding at the lower section of the doors, faux skid plates, and trim connecting the taillamps. The headlights and taillamps have a smoked-out finish. Enhancing its sporty appearance are the new gloss black finished 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss black roof rails, and red highlights on the headlamp housing, wing mirrors, and brake callipers. The ‘Blackstorm’ moniker on the front fenders highlights its name.
The interior receives an all-black treatment with gun metal accents on the door trims, center console, steering wheel, and AC vents. Black leatherette seat upholstery with a ‘Blackstorm’ emblem on the front headrests adds to its sporty feel and appeal. Feature-wise, the Hector Blackstorm Edition offers a 14-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, a smart key, push-button engine start/stop, and more.
The MG Hector Blackstorm Edition is available with the 1.5L turbo petrol-CVT and 2.0L diesel-MT engine-gearbox combinations. The gasoline and diesel engines return claimed power outputs of 143bhp and 170bhp, respectively.
