Bajaj CNG bike India launch date confirmed

– Scheduled to be launched on 18 June

– Will be India’s first mass-market CNG bike

At the launch of the Pulsar NS400Z, Bajaj Auto officially confirmed that it will launch its CNG-powered motorcycle on 18 June 2024 in India. This will not only be the first Bajaj CNG bike but also India’s first mass-market offering to run on compressed natural gas.

This bike is likely to be called the Bruzer. It will certainly be more of a daily commuter since the test mule in its spy shots boasted dimensions similar to 110-125cc motorcycles. The camouflaged bike also incorporated a bulbous fuel tank, a flat and long seat, a chunky grab rail, and a braced handlebar with knuckle guards. While the LED headlamp and tail lamp were visible in the spy shots itself, we expect it to get a digital console as well.

On the hardware front, things look quite basic. It seems to be running 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with narrow tyres and a small front disc brake. Although the front suspension setup was fully covered, we expect it to be of conventional telescopic type while the rear section is suspended by a monoshock. The braking setup should be accompanied by a single-channel ABS setup, at least.

As of now, there’s no information on the pricing front. However, knowing Bajaj and its tradition of pricing its bikes on the affordable side, the CNG bike should be accessible.
