Mahindra XUV400 EV To Get Updates

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the updated XUV400 EV earlier this year, with prices starting at Rs 15.49 lakh for the EC Pro and Rs 17.49 lakh for the top-end EL Pro variant. These prices were introductory and were expected to increase in May 2024. While the base variant remains at the same price, the EL Pro variant has increased to Rs 19.39 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

The EC Pro variant comes with a 34.5kWh battery and a 3.3kW AC charger, whereas the EL Pro variant is available with either a 34.5kWh or a 39.4kWh battery pack, along with a 7.2kW AC charger. The smaller battery offers a claimed range of 375km, while the larger battery can achieve up to 456km.

Mahindra is likely to expand the updated XUV400 EV model lineup with multiple new variants, including EC L, EC L (O), EC LL, EL LL (O), EL LH, EL LH (O), EL PH, and EL PH (O). The 34.43kWh battery pack will be updated to provide a slightly higher range of 402km. Despite these changes, the setup will continue to deliver a maximum power output of 150bhp and 310Nm of torque. The launch timeline for these new variants has not yet been announced.

No other major changes are expected in the new Mahindra XUV400 EV variants. The electric SUV features a black and beige dual-tone interior theme, a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system supporting Adrenox software, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, two rotary dials, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa connectivity, and a wireless phone charger, among other features.
