Maruti Suzuki has launched the new-generation Swift hatchback in India, ending the long wait for this updated model. The all-new Swift lineup comes in five trim levels: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+, with prices ranging between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 2024 Maruti Swift is approximately Rs 25,000 more expensive than the previous generation. Its available at subscription rentals starting from Rs 17,436. The hatchback comes with significant changes in terms of design, interior, and engine.

New Maruti Swift Engine, Mileage
Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Swift employs Suzuki’s all-new Z-Series, 1.2L petrol engine, which is available with and without mild hybrid technology. This motor, coupled with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, delivers a claimed output of 82PS and 112Nm of torque. The new Swift offers best-in-class fuel efficiency, with a claimed 24.8kmpl (MT) and 25.72 kmpl (AMT). Colour Options
The new Swift is being offered in six monotone paint schemes, namely, Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, Novel Orange, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver and Pearl Arctic White. Buyers have three dual-tone colour options as well: Sizzling Red with Midnight Black Roof, Luster Blue with Midnight Black Roof and Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black Roof.

The overall length, width and height of the new Swift stand at 3860mm, 1735mm and 1520mm, respectively.
New Maruti Swift ZXi+ Features
The top-end ZXi+ trim is being offered with some exclusive features such as a driver-oriented cockpit with centre floating design and 3D texture, a digital AC panel, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Suzuki Connect, wireless phone charger, Arkamys Surround Sense, Type-A and C USB charging ports, hill hold control, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and LED taillamps.

New Maruti Swift VXi/VXi (O) Features
The mid-level VXi and VXi (O) variants offer a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, defogger, manual key start functionality, projector halogen headlamps, halogen turn signals, ORVMs with integrated turn signals, 165/80 R14 MRF Ecotred tyres and body-coloured door handles. The VXi (O) gets an additional request sensor on driver door handle.
New Maruti Swift LXi Features
The entry-level LXi variant features a newly-designed front grille, revised front bumper, halogen projector headlamps, steel wheels, black coloured door handles and conventional rear door integrated handles (instead of C-pillar mounted units). The standard safety kit of the new Maruti Swift includes six airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), three-point seat belts, seat belt reminder, and rear parking sensors.
