The Hyundai Alcazar mid-size SUV is set to complete three successful years in the country. To boost its sales performance, the carmaker will give the model a mid-life update in the coming months, possibly by October 2024. It’s expected to receive minimal cosmetic changes, with major upgrades inside the cabin. The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will share some design elements with the new Creta that went on sale earlier this year. The SUV will feature a larger front grille with a slightly different pattern than the Creta.
Spy images show the SUV with a front radar, confirming the presence of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. The LED headlamps with a split setup will also be redesigned. The updated Alcazar will offer newly-designed alloy wheels, replacing the existing set. The rear bumper might also see some revisions.
One of the major highlights of its interior will be the dual screen setup: a 10.25-inch screen for the infotainment system and a 10.25-inch screen for instrumentation. The new 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will also come with ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable driver seat, blind spot monitor, and an electronic parking brake. The updated version will continue to offer 6- and 7-seat configurations.
No changes will be made under the hood. The new 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will continue to use the 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, delivering 160 bhp with 253 Nm and 116 bhp with 250 Nm, respectively. The petrol unit will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while the diesel engine will come with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Prices of the Alcazar facelift are expected to see a minor increase. Currently, the SUV model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 16.78 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
