– Uses the current 1390 Duke engine
– Features alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres
– Gets WP USD front forks and monoshock
After the 1490 Adventure and the 1390 Rally, it is now time for the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S’s spy shots. These too come from Europe as the test bike was spotted out in the flesh. But compared to its Rally sibling, the 1390 Super Adventure gets completely different bodywork, overall styling and hardware too.
The upcoming KTM 1390 Adventure looks big, and brawny and has a reminiscence of the 1390 Super Duke. It has wide boomerang-shaped LED DRLs with another horizontally laid LED in the centre and a projector at the bottom. The setup is topped by a wide windscreen with a small duct to dissipate cool air towards the rider. Right below the headlight appears to be the radar detection system.
The side profile shot reveals further more cuts and creases along with ducts to channel the air towards the engine. Speaking of the motor, we expect KTM to use the same 1390 V-Twin engine for the Super Adventure S as it does for the Duke. Its output could be around 190bhp and 145Nm. The engine will be linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefit from a quick shifter along with multiple other rider-aids including ride modes, traction control, ABS modes, and the likes.
Owing to its road-oriented build, the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S also gets standard WP USD front forks and monoshock with dual front and a single rear disc mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Similar to the other 1390 motorcycles from the KTM range, we don’t expect KTM to bring the 1390 Super Adventure S to India.
