The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 facelift has been introduced in India with prices starting from Rs 3.35 crore (ex-showroom). Compared to its previous version, the updated model is nearly Rs 39 lakh more expensive. The facelift features noticeable cosmetic changes and feature upgrades along with an updated 4.0L, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The updated motor, with a 48V integrated starter generator, delivers a maximum power of 557bhp and 770Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The German automaker claims that the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 facelift accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds and offers a maximum speed of 250kmph. It comes with a 4WD setup with the 4Matic system. While adaptive dampers are standard, the fully active suspension with an exclusive Maybach drive mode is also an option.

Minimal changes have been made to its interior. The updated GLS 600 comes with the latest-generation MBUX software featuring new graphics, updated telematics, hand gestures for selective commands, and a fingerprint sensor. It also gets a new steering wheel and updated AC vents. The rear bench seat offers ventilation and massage functions and reclines up to 43.5 degrees. Buyers can choose from black and dual-tone macchiato beige/mahogany brown Nappa leather upholstery. Additionally, the dashboard is available in two different finishes – brown open-pore walnut wood trim and anthracite open-pore oak wood trim.

Other feature highlights include a 590W Burmester 3D surround sound system, Level 2 ADAS suite, Maybach-specific ambient lighting, a central tablet on the fold-down armrest, an extendable leg rest, twin rear 11.6-inch MBUX screens, Mercedes’ signature Energizing package, first-class lounge seats with a continuous centre console, Manufaktur leather package, refrigerator compartment with Maybach-branded champagne flutes, and many more.

The front fascia of the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 facelift has been revised with a new grille and bumper. It also gets new Maybach-specific tailpipes and LED signatures for the taillamps. The multi-spoke 22-inch wheels are standard, while the classic deep-dish monobloc 23-inch Maybach wheels are optional. The updated GLS 600 is available in three monotone colours – Black, Silver Metallic, and Polar White – along with dual-tone shades.
