Mahindra XUV 3XO Petrol Variants In High Demand

Prices for the new Mahindra XUV 3XO subcompact SUV were announced nearly a month ago. Deliveries of its entry-level M1, MX2, and MX2 Pro variants have already commenced, while customer dispatches for the top-end AX7 and AX7 L variants will begin in June 2024. Recently, the carmaker confirmed that the XUV 3XO received 50,000 bookings within one hour of the booking commencement. Mahindra is producing 9,000 units of the subcompact SUV monthly, with an initial allotment of 10,000 manufactured units.

Interestingly, the Mahindra XUV 3XO petrol variants are in high demand, accounting for nearly 70 percent of the total bookings so far. Buyers have three engine options to choose from: a 1.2L turbo petrol (112PS/200Nm), a 1.2L TGDi turbo petrol (130PS/250Nm), and a 1.5L diesel (117PS/300Nm). A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. Both petrol engines are also available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5L diesel can be paired with a 6-speed AMT unit.

Talking about its pricing, the XUV 3XO model lineup includes five 112PS, 1.2L petrol manual variants – MX1, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, and AX5 – priced at Rs 7.49 lakh, Rs 8.99 lakh, Rs 9.49 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh, and Rs 10.69 lakh, respectively. The 112bhp, 1.2L petrol automatic variants – MX Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, and AX5 – are priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, Rs 10.99 lakh, Rs 11.49 lakh, and Rs 12.19 lakh, respectively.

The more powerful petrol engine is exclusively offered with the higher trims – AX5 L, AX7, and AX7 L – with prices ranging from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh. Prices for the diesel manual variants start at Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs 14.99 lakh. The diesel-automatic combo is available with the MX3, AX5, and AX7 trims, priced at Rs 11.69 lakh, Rs 12.89 lakh, and Rs 14.49 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom, India.
