The new 2024 Tata Altroz model lineup has been introduced with three new variants: XZ Lux, XZ+ S Lux, and XZ+ S Lux Dark. Prices for the new variants have not yet been revealed by the carmaker. The updated Altroz features a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is also found in the Harrier and Safari models. This larger infotainment system will be available exclusively from the XZ Lux variant onwards, while the variants below the XZ Lux will continue to offer a 7-inch infotainment unit.
Additionally, the variants above the XZ Lux now come equipped with a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor. The top-end XZ+ S Lux variant includes a new 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and six airbags. Surprisingly, leatherette seats have been removed from the new 2024 Tata Altroz model lineup and will be reserved for the Altroz Racer, which is set to launch on 7th June 2024.
Under the hood, the updated Altroz continues to feature the same engines: an 88bhp, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 90bhp, 1.5L diesel engine, and a 74bhp, 1.2L petrol CNG fuel option. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine, tuned to generate 120bhp and 170Nm of torque, will be offered exclusively with the upcoming Tata Altroz Racer.
Looking ahead, Tata Motors aims to expand its EV product portfolio with a range of new models in the coming years. The plan outlines the Curvv EV, Harrier EV, Safari EV, Altroz EV, and Tata Sierra EV. The Tata Curvv EV is expected to hit the roads during the 2024 festive season. Based on Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev platform, the electric SUV is likely to deliver a range of around 500km on a single charge. Additionally, Tata Motors will introduce an ICE-powered version of the Curvv in early 2025.
