MG Gloster Snowstorm, Desertstorm Editions – Features Explained

MG Motor India has introduced two special editions of the Gloster three-row SUV, named Snowstorm and Desertstorm, both priced at Rs 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). These editions come with several cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. First talking about the MG Gloster Snowstorm edition, the model features a dual-tone White and Black paint scheme with sporty red accents.

Black elements are present on the front grille, fog lamps, wing mirrors, fender garnish, alloy wheels, and spoiler, along with red accents on the front fender, headlamps, and wing mirrors. Inside, it has black upholstery with red stitching on the steering wheel and is available only with a six-seat configuration.

The MG Gloster Desertstorm edition comes in a Black and Beige/Brown color scheme with red accents on the headlamps. The front grille, roof rails, wing mirrors, and alloy wheels are finished in black. The interior features a black theme with white stitching on the black steering wheel and black upholstery. Unlike the Snowstorm, the Gloster Desertstorm edition offers both six-seat and seven-seat configurations.

Both editions retain the features from the regular Gloster, including a 12-way power adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, a dual panoramic sunroof, wireless charging capabilities, and ADAS tech. Optional dealer-fitted accessories include seat massagers, dashboard mats, themed carpet mats, premium JBL speakers, and Desertstorm and Snowstorm badges.

Under the hood, both the MG Gloster Snowstorm and Desertstorm editions employs a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine. The motor returns a claimed power of 215PS and 478Nm of torque. The new special editions of the SUV can be had with either 2WD or 4WD setup.

In coming months, the carmaker will also introduce the updated version of the MG Gloster SUV. The facelifted model is likely to receive minor cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. Furthermore, the engine setup will also be carried forward from the current model.
