The next-gen Audi Q5 has been spied testing ahead of its debut later this year. The latest spy shots not only reveal new details about the equipment list but also hints at the SUV's design changes. New Audi Q5 interior details

The latest spy shots are from Southern Europe, courtesy our friends at motor.es. The pictures of the third-gen Q5 show that its interior will have a lot in common with the Q6 e-tron that will launch in India later this year. The 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment – both of which run Audi's latest operating system – are clearly seen in these images. It is likely that Audi will offer the optional 10.9-inch MMI display for the front passenger as well.

New Audi Q5 exterior highlights

While most of the SUV is camouflaged, the lights are visible, and are unmistakably Audi. There’s a new upswept headlight that will most likely feature Matrix LED tech seen in newer Audis. The tail-light design is also different, and is likely to have OLED units. It also seems to get a new front grille and bonnet, and a new design for the alloys. The new Q5 also sports what looks like the signature ‘Quattro Blister’ on the rear haunches.

New Audi Q5 powertrain

Although the new Q5’s powertrain details haven't been revealed, internationally, we expect petrol and diesel engines with 48V mild-hybrid tech, and at least one plug-in hybrid with about 100km of EV-only range. Higher variants will get Audi’s Quattro AWD system as standard, while entry-level trims will be FWD. There’s no manual gearbox option expected with the third-gen Q5.

New Audi Q5 India launch details

Considering the current Q5 has been on sale in India since 2021 and is available in two variants – the Premium Plus priced at Rs 65.51 lakh and the Technology at Rs 70.80 lakh. The next-gen model is expected to come here as well, although Audi India has not revealed a launch timeline. Meanwhile, the German brand is gearing up to bring the locally assembled Q6 e-tron this year to slot in below the Rs 1.15 crore Q8 e-tron.
