KTM took the wraps off the highly awaited 390 Enduro R at the ongoing EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Although the specifications of the bike are yet to be released, here’s everything we know about it so far along with its pictures from the show.

The Enduro R borrows the fundamental chassis components from the 390 Adventure R. However, the bodywork is majorly different and is in line with its enduro intentions.

Typical of KTM bikes, it looks sharp and athletic but there are minimal body panels with a long front beak, a petite fuel tank flanked by angular extensions, and a long and pointed tail section.

There’s a flat, motocross-style seat along with a wide pulled-back handlebar both of which should contribute to the ease of off-roading.

Similar to the 390 Adventure R, it rides on 21-18-inch spoke wheels that are shod with block-pattern tyres. These wheels are suspended by long-travel USDs and a monoshock, both being fully adjustable WP units.

The engine is the same 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit that powers the 390 Duke. It produces 45.3bhp and 39Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Feature-wise, the Enduro doesn’t seem to be as loaded as the 390 Adventure R. It sports a simpler LCD console and a more basic switchgear housing a dedicated button to turn off ABS.

The KTM 390 Enduro R might not be launched in India, at least not in the initial phase. However, the company might consider bringing it to our shores when the market matures and there’s a demand for enduro bikes.
