The Honda QC1 electric scooter has been unveiled in India. It is the entry-level electric scooter in the company’s EV portfolio in India, sitting below the Honda Activa e: electric scooter. Here are details of the scooter in images.
The Honda QC1’s design is inspired by the Activa e: electric scooter. The front apron, handlebar cowl, and side panels resemble the Activa e: EV. However, it doesn’t get an LED DRL, there is a lot more black plastic all around, and the tail lamp seems to be plucked out of the Honda CB 300F street naked motorcycle.
The Honda QC1 is powered by a 1.8kW BLDC motor that can propel the scooter to a top speed of 50kmph. The QC1 comes with two ride modes-Econ and Standard.
The motor is powered by a fixed 1.5kWh battery, which offers a claimed range of 80km. Topping up the battery takes 4 hours and 30 minutes.
In terms of features, the scooter has LED lights, a five-inch LCD, 26-litre storage and a USB type-C charging port.
As for the chassis, it has an underbone frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers that are preload adjustable. The scooter rides on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel setup.
Honda will reveal the prices for the QC1 in January while deliveries begin in February 2025.
