Ather Rizta and 450 series to get more expensive from January

  • Ather prices to be increased by around Rs. 5,000
  • Exact price hike amount to vary as per the model

Ather Energy is expected to increase the prices of its electric scooters from January 2025. All the models in the brand’s line-up, including the Rizta and the 450 family, will get dearer by around Rs. 5,000. The exact price hike will vary depending on the model. This aligns with the ongoing trend of many brands announcing price increments from January in order to compensate for the hike in input costs.

Ather’s portfolio broadly comprises four e-scooters and each one of them is further categorised into different variants. The more family-oriented offering, the Rizta starts from Rs. 1.37 lakh for the S variant with a 2.9kWh battery and goes up to Rs. 1.64 lakh for the 3.7kWh, Z variant. All these scooters become more expensive on opting for the optional Pro Pack which brings along a host of benefits to make ownership easier.

Amongst the 450 models, S is the most affordable offering which is pegged at Rs. 1.57 lakh. A step up in the line-up is the 450X which costs Rs. 1.61 lakh and Rs. 1.69 lakh for 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh variants, respectively. Both these models can be had with Pro Pack by paying an additional sum. The top-of-the-line model is the 450 Apex with transparent side panels which is available in a single variant with a price tag of Rs. 1.95 lakh.
