Citroen Basalt gets up to Rs 80,000 in year end discounts

Citroen India has announced significant year-end discounts across its portfolio. Other than the C5 Aircross, the Basalt coupe-SUV, the Aircross SUV, and the C3 and eC3 EV hatchbacks get discounts. This doesn’t come as a surprise if one looks at the brand’s average monthly despatches to dealers in the June-November period: 648 units.

Citroen Basalt discounts in December 2024

Up to Rs 80,000 off

The Basalt gets benefits and discounts to the tune of Rs 80,000. After a peak of 579 deliveries the month it was launched, its sales have been steadily slowing. Though it’s the highest-selling Citroen in the August to November period, with average wholesales of 198 units, it sold just 47 units in November 2024.

As is usually the case, discounts will vary depending on the variant selected. The Basalt comes with four trims – You, Plus, Max and Max Dual Tone – and two 1.2-litre petrol engine options: an 82hp NA and a 110hp turbo-petrol. Only the latter gets an automatic gearbox option though. Prices for the Basalt, which recently received a 4-star Bharat NCAP crash test rating, currently range between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 13.95 lakh.

Citroen Aircross discounts in December 2024

Up to Rs 1.75 lakh off

The Aircross SUV, which comes in 5- and 5+2-seater configurations, gets massive discounts of up to Rs 1.75 lakh, depending on the variant. Available with the same powertrain options as the Basalt, the Aircross is currently priced between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 14.55 lakh. In the last six months, the brand despatched an average of 98 Aircross’ to its dealerships, indicating why discounts for the SUV are this high.

Citroen C3 discounts in December 2024

Up to Rs 1 lakh off

Citroen’s most affordable model gets benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variant. The C3 comes with the same two powertrain options as the aforementioned models. The Maruti Ignis, Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter rival costs Rs 6.16 lakh-10.27 lakh, and Citroen has despatched an average of 246 units to dealers in the last six months.

Citroen eC3 discounts in December 2024

Up to Rs 80,000 off

Citroen’s only EV for now has total discounts to the tune of Rs 80,000 this month, depending on the trim. The Tata Tiago EV rival is priced between Rs 12.76 lakh and Rs 13.56 lakh. It comes with a 29.2kWh battery pack that has a real-world range of 228km according to our real-world tests. Citroen despathced an average of 105 eC3s to dealers in the last six months.
