Swedish brand Husqvarna recently showcased the Vitpilen 801 Aero concept which represents the company’s creativity and innovative outlook. It has been equipped with a host of high-end components which make it profoundly special. In that case, let’s take a look at the elements which set it apart from the standard model.

The Vitpilen 801 Aero concept could be an indication of a more hardcore, racier version of the motorcycle being in the making, perhaps an R trim.

Husqvarna has stripped the bike of many components to make it lighter and helping it achieve this further is the inclusion of a host of carbon fiber components.

The engine casing looks the same as the stock bike. This KTM 790 Duke-derived motor is a 799cc, DOHC, LC8c, parallel-twin motor which produces 104bhp.

What’s clearly different though is the entire exhaust system which is a thicker header pipe painted in white and routed for the end can to settle under the seat. This may have resulted in a slight bump in power output.

Accompanying the bespoke exhaust system is the customised air intake to allow for a freer flowing design and adding on to the probable performance increment.

The conventional WP Apex suspension setup has been replaced with higher-end Apex Pro components while the braking hardware includes Brembo GP4 brake calipers and FR T floating discs.
