TVS RTS X Concept: Image Gallery

One of the main attractions of TVS’ stall at this year’s Bharat Mobility Expo was the RTS X supermoto concept. Although we know it will eventually turn into a production bike, the launch timeline has not yet been confirmed. While we wait for that to happen, let’s take a look at its details along with its pictures.

To some extent, the RTS X seems visually inspired by the Ducati Hypermotard 950 with its minimalistic body panels and angular design lines throughout.

Typical of a supermoto, it boasts an almost flat seat, wide handlebar with guards, long travel suspension along with 17-inch alloy wheels and road-biased Europgrip tyres.

Powering the bike is TVS’ new 299cc, four-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that produces 34.5bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter.

It is underpinned by a steel trellis frame with cast aluminium subframe. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm USD forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock with both having 180mm of travel.

The kerb weight of the bike is astonishingly low at 143.5kg but it gets a puny fuel tank of 8.2 litres. At 875mm, the seat is on the taller side while the ground clearance is a respectable 240mm.

Now, it remains to be seen how much of a departure the production version will be from this concept. It will compete against the KTM 390 SMC R which might come to our shores in 2026.
