Ducati India has commenced the bookings for its upcoming offering, the Desert X Discovery. The bike has been teased online a few times and will likely go on sale soon, with the official launch around the corner. Here is what the Ducati Desert X Discovery has to offer.
On the design front, the Desert X Discovery looks identical to the standard bike but comes draped in a black and red paint scheme and also benefits from luggage like hard-case panniers, along with engine casing protection, as well as a large belly guard.
Powering the Ducati Desert X Discovery is a 937cc, L-twin engine that makes 108bhp at 9,250rpm and 92Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and uses a bi-directional quickshfiter. But that’s not it, Ducati has also loaded the bike with other electronic rider aids, including ride modes, power modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, heated grips, and a TFT with smartphone connectivity.
The Desert X Discovery’s hardware comprises 46mm fully adjustable USD front forks and a KYB fully adjustable monoshock, while the braking duties are done by dual 320mm front and a single 265mm rear disc mounted on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels.
Ducati is likely to price the Desert X Discovery at Rs. 21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
