Following our Sunday ritual, we are back with the round-up of the five most noteworthy bike updates from the last week for those who couldn’t keep track of the Indian two-wheeler industry.
Yamaha MT-03 and R3 price cut
Yamaha announced a massive price cut on the R3 and MT-03 in the wake of low sales and the intent to launch their next-generations models that are already on sale in select markets. Both bikes are now Rs. 1.10 lakh cheaper than before. While the R3 is pegged at Rs. 3.6 lakh, the MT-03 costs Rs. 3.5 lakh which finally makes them enticing propositions.
2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 launched
Triumph launched the 2025 Speed Twin 1200 standard and RS iterations in India. While the former costs Rs. 12.75 lakh, the latter sets you back by Rs. 15.49 lakh. Both bikes are powered by the same 1,200cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 103.5bhp and 112Nm. Setting them apart is a different set of hardware with the RS trim benefitting from more premium cycle parts to deliver a sportier riding experience.
Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet launched
Ultraviolette launched the more street-oriented F77 SuperStreet electric motorcycle with an introductory price of Rs. 2.99 lakh. Bookings for the F77 SuperStreet will commence on 1 February and the deliveries will begin in March this year. Powering the e-motorcycle is a 10.3kWh battery which is linked to a 30kW motor. The setup offers a claimed range of 323km and a top speed of 155kmph.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure details
KTM India released the detailed specifications of the new 390 Adventure ahead of its price announcement. The motorcycle is a more hardcore adventure tourer with a 21-17-inch tubeless spoke wheel combination, a higher ground clearance, and more suspension travel than before. Moreover, the new 398cc, single-cylinder engine also makes more power and torque than before. It is likely to be slightly more expensive than the existing 390 Adventure SW which is the top-spec variant.
TVS X deliveries begin
TVS commenced deliveries of its most premium and expensive electric scooter, the X. The brand has started delivering the X e-scooter in Bengaluru with other cities being in the pipeline for the upcoming quarter. Powering the TVS X is a 2.2kWh battery linked to a 7.5kW motor. The setup offers a range of 140km and a top speed of 105kmph, respectively. Even the features list is quite long and fancy with three ride modes – Eco, Xtealth, and Xonic and smartphone connectivity for giving access to call and SMS alerts, navigation, and more.
