Viaterra Holeshot Pro Gloves Review: Introduction

Intro

Over the last few years, I’ve developed a new respect for Viaterra and the gear they sell. The quality is good, and when combined with decent pricing, it tends to become your favourite. When Rishabh said they were sending a pair of Viaterra Holeshot Pro gloves, I was quite happy. I was in the market for a good pair of gloves, and the Holeshot Pro came as a blessing in disguise.

The Construction

The Holeshot Pro is like a second-generation glove. It is an upgraded version of the Holeshot and is positioned as an urban product. The company says that to achieve this, they focused on making the gloves comfortable, breathable, and maximising protection. These are semi-gauntlet gloves with mesh panels on the backside.

This design provides better airflow. For protection, there’s perforated goatskin leather on the palm that meets Level 2 protection. There’s also a pair of Knox sliders on each glove to prevent scaphoid injuries.

The Plan

My daily commute is 140km long, which means the Holeshot Pro will be my preferred gloves for work rides. I will also use it during long rides, and I have a really long one coming up. We are at the end of winter, which means it’s time to get ready for some really hot summers.
