- It will get a TFT screen and traction control
- The same updates as the new NX200
- Price could go up by around Rs. 15,000
After launching the updated version of the CB200X, which is now called the NX200 now, Honda is expected to launch the refreshed iteration of its naked street bike sibling, the Hornet 2.0. It will get the same updates as the NX200.
The NX200 gets multiple changes over the CB200X. The LCD screen has been replaced with a colour TFT dash which looks identical to the one on the NX500. It is Bluetooth-enabled and connects to the rider’s smartphone via the Honda Roadsync smartphone application. The new NX200 also gets traction control and dual-channel ABS, instead of a single-channel unit, as standard. The headlamp section has also been slightly revised and there’s a new set of graphics on the fuel tank which is the same as the NX500. Lastly, the engine is now OBD2B-compliant.
The updated Hornet 2.0 will get all of these changes. However, the graphics and colour schemes might be different and could be inspired by one of the bigger naked bikes by Honda. It’s worth noting that the aforementioned changes have caused a Rs. 17,000 price hike for the NX200 and we expect a similar price bump for the Hornet as well. As of now, the latter costs Rs. 1.43 lakh while the new NX200 is pegged at Rs. 1.68 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Honda Hornet 2.0 competes against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, and the Yamaha MT 15 V2.
