-Has new design
-Powered by a 214bhp, V4 engine
– Gets new TFT display
The new Ducati Panigale V4 is all set to go on sale in India on March 5. The superbike was unveiled last year in international markets and is finally hitting showrooms across the country. The new Panigale V4 builds on the strengths of its predecessor and it features a number of changes.
The design of the Panigale V4 is sharper and more aggressive than the old bike. This is evident in the shape of the LED lights, the cuts and creases on the fairings and the upswept tail section. Not to mention the big winglets that add to the purposeful appearance of the Panigale V4.
As for the hardware, the V4 S variant gets Ohlins NPX-30 pressurised fork and at the rear, there is a TTX36 monoshock. This is also the first superbike to get new Brembo Hypure brake calipers.
The bike is powered by a 1,103cc V4 engine. It makes 214bhp at 13,500rpm and 120.9Nm at 11,250rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter as well.
Helping the rider manage all that firepower is a comprehensive electronics suite. The bike has multiple power modes (Full, High, Medium and Low), ride modes, traction control, wheelie control, slide control and more.
The Ducati Panigale V4 is power packed and tech laden motorycle and in terms of competition, it goes up against the BMW S 1000 RR.
