BMW Motorrad has launched the 2025 C 400 GT maxi-scooter in India at an introductory price of Rs. 11.50 lakh, ex-showroom. Let’s take a look at the top highlights of the BMW C 400 GT.
Maxi Styling
The overall styling of the new C 400 GT continues to remain unchanged. However, BMW has offered a new windscreen for better wind protection and to reduce buffeting. Moreover, the saddle height has been reduced by 10mm to 765mm to make it more accessible for shorter riders.
Features
Feature-wise, the new BMW C 400 GT packs a long list of equipment, which could easily shame some motorcycles in the market. We are talking about standard features such as IMU-based lean-sensitive ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR). You also get a 10.25-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB-C charging port.
Larger Boot-space
BMW has also improved the practicality of the scooter by increasing the size of the boot and the front storage compartment. The under-seat storage space stands at 37.6 litres, which should be enough to accommodate a lot of things, including a full-face helmet.
Powerful Engine
Powering the BMW C 400 GT is the same 350cc, liquid-cooled motor that churns out 33.5bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 5,750rpm. This single-cylinder engine is paired with a CVT unit. In our experience with the pre-facelift model, this engine offers good performance and delivers power in a linear fashion. The scooter rides on a 15/14-inch alloy wheel combination, suspended on telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable dual shocks at the back.
Variants
Besides the standard trim, BMW has also introduced the C 400 GT in a new Exclusive variant. This version gets golden finish for the alloy wheels and brake calipers, an embroidered emblem, and a slightly tinted windscreen. It also features stainless-steel floorboard inserts and floor lighting with a BMW logo projection. Needless to say, these features are optional extras over the standard variant.
