- Patent image completely reveals the design
- India launch in the second half of 2025
- Powered by a 299cc liquid-cooled motor
The upcoming TVS Apache RTX 300 has been patented in India before its official launch in the country. It is a road-focused adventure touring bike that will ride on 19/17-inch alloy wheels.
The patent image reveals all the design elements of the Apache RTX 300. It features a twin-pod headlamp setup, a semi-fairing, and a minimalistic tail cowl like the Himalayan 450. However, the stubby front beak is missing in this patent filing, suggesting it could be an official accessory. The overall styling is well-rounded and has hints of the older Triumph Tiger 800 models.
A bespoke steel trellis frame and a bolt-on separate sub-frame underpins the Apache RTX 300. The frame is suspended on what looks like a longer-travel suspension setup at both ends. These include upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile, braking tasks are carried out by disc brakes at either end.
Powering the Apache RTX 300 is an all-new 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine that TVS has developed in-house. This engine will replace the BMW-sourced 312cc motor, and will allow TVS to compete in the ADV space in India. The headlining figures stand at 35bhp and 28.5Nm of peak torque. The gearbox is a six-speed unit with an assist and slipper clutch.
The RTX 300 will get a host of rider aids such as ride-by-wire throttle, traction control system, and multiple riding modes. It could also get a bi-directional quickshifter as an option. Hygiene features will include LED headlights, colour TFT display, and switchable dual-channel ABS.
