Skoda Compact SUV
Skoda has officially confirmed that it will introduce an all-new sub-4 meter SUV in the country in the first quarter of 2025. It will be based on the modified version of the MQB AO IN platform that underpins the Skoda Kushaq and the Slavia. Not just platform, the new compact SUV will share several body panels, components and engine specifications with the Kushaq mid-sized SUV. It is likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 110bhp and 200Nm of torque. Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
The homegrown automaker Mahindra is all set to introduce the heavily modified version of the XUV300 compact SUV in the coming weeks. The new model has been caught testing numerous times on the Indian roads. The updated XUV300 will receive significant design changes and an all-new feature-loaded interior. The cabin of the XUV300 facelift is likely to be shared with the XUV400 EV. It will have a revised dashboard layout with twin 10.25-inch screens – one for a touchscreen infotainment and other for the digital instrument console. In terms of features, the SUV will have a 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats, rear air-con vents, a panoramic sunroof and others. The SUV will retain the existing engine options – a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo petrol (TGDI). Kia Clavis
Kia will introduce an all-new compact SUV at the end of 2024, while the launch is expected in early next year. Rumoured to be called the Kia Clavis, the new model will be branded as a lifestyle SUV and will target a different set of buyers. It will sit between the Sonet and the Seltos in the company’s line-up. This lifestyle SUV will come with several advanced features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS tech, a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument console, 360 degree camera, etc. The Kia Clavis compact SUV will be offered with both petrol and electric powertrains.
