Nissan Magnite entered the sub-4 meter SUV segment in December 2020 with two petrol engine and gearbox options. The model lineup received AMT (automated manual transmission) variants last year, undercutting the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch AMTs. Now, as the subcompact SUV is ready to complete three successful years in the country, it’s set to receive a mid-life update in early 2025. Testing of the 2025 Nissan Magnite facelift has already commenced, and we have seen its test mule with heavy camouflage a couple of times.
The spy images reveal that minimal changes will be made to its exterior and interior. Furthermore, the engine setup will also be carried forward from the current version. The new Magnite will come with a slightly revised front grille, headlamp clusters, updated LED signatures, tweaked front and rear bumpers, and a new set of alloy wheels. The carmaker might also introduce new color schemes to the updated model lineup.
Inside, the new 2025 Nissan Magnite facelift might get new trims along with better material quality. In terms of features, it might receive an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated seats, and a few soft-touch plastics. Reports suggest that the subcompact SUV might also come with a single-pane sunroof. The Magnite is already packed with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, a TFT instrument cluster, an automatic AC unit, keyless entry, push-button start, and armrests for both front and rear occupants, Nissan Connect telematics, and many more goodies.
As mentioned above, no changes will be made under the hood. The new 2025 Nissan Magnite facelift will continue to use the 1.0L, 3-cylinder and 1.0L turbo petrol engines, making 71bhp with 96Nm and 99bhp with 160Nm, respectively. Buyers will get the same gearbox options – a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT automatic.
