Husqvarna has taken the wraps off the new Svartpilen 801 which is the replacement for the 701 iteration. The motorcycle is based on the same platform as the KTM 790 Duke but, of course, boasts a lot of changes to have a personality of its own. If you’re intrigued with this motorcycle, let us take you through the details of the bike along with its pictures.

The Svartpilen 801 sports Husqvarna’s new-age design with a large circular headlamp crowned by a tiny, flat flyscreen, a compact fuel tank with flat and curvy side bulges, and an aluminium sub-frame which makes up for the tail section.

Powering the bike is KTM’s 799cc, parallel-twin, DOHC engine that produces 103.25bhp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 87Nm at 8,000rpm. This motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox which gets a quick shifter as standard.

To help the rider tame all that performance, Husqvarna has equipped the bike with a lot of rider aids like three riding modes, cornering ABS, and traction control along with optional wheelie control and cruise control.

This Husky also incorporates a five-inch TFT screen which looks similar to the one on the smaller Svartpilen 401. Smartphone pairing via Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation are also a part of the package.

As for the hardware, the 17-inch alloy wheels are suspended by WP Apex USD forks and a monoshock, both being adjustable. Braking hardware is sourced from J. Juan.

The 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 will start reaching international dealerships in April with a price tag of USD 10,899 (approximately Rs. 9.05 lakh).

Its arrival on the Indian shores is unlikely in the near future since Bajaj, its parent company in India, seems to focussing only on smaller bikes as of now.
