Your weekly dose of bike updates: Bajaj Pulsar NS400, Yezdi Adventure 350, and more!

The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed just one new launch last week while the rest of the updates were around upcoming products. From what we can observe, the 300-400cc segment will see the competition heating up even more! To elaborate on that, let’s check out a quick round-up of the most noteworthy updates from last week.

Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 launch

Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette updated its electric motorcycle offering, the F77. Besides adding the Mach 2 suffix in its name, the company bestowed the standard model with a 27kW motor whereas the Recon uses a 30kW motor. The former gets a 7.1kWh battery and the latter features a 10.3kWh unit which offer 211km and 323km range, respectively. The asking price for the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is set at Rs. 2,99,000 for the first 1,000 customers and Rs. 3,99,000 for the F77 Mach 2 Recon.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 spotted

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 was spotted at what appears to be a dealer yard just a few days before its official launch. The spy shots reveal the design and hardware details of the most powerful and expensive Pulsar yet. It gets thunder-shaped LED DRLs like the NS and a centre-set projector LED headlight like the N. There appears to be a radiator shroud as well which indicates the upcoming NS400 will get a liquid-cooled engine perhaps borrowed from the current Dominar 400.

2024 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 launching soon

Kawasaki India was spied testing the Versys-X 300, its entry-level adventure touring motorcycle, fuelling speculation that the bike might be re-launched. Reports suggest that the Versys-X 300 is likely going to be launched in 2024, mostly by the next quarter. The bike is currently undergoing homologation and validation tests and that’s what is causing the delay. The company is trying to localise as many components and parts as possible to keep manufacturing costs low. Local sourcing would also mean lower taxes and that should translate to a competitive price tag.

2024 Yezdi Adventure 350 launching soon

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is working on upgrading its line-up and, according to our sources, it is all set to launch the 2024 Yezdi Adventure in India. The updated model is expected to be christened Yezdi Adventure 350 and will be launched in India in a couple of months. So, we can expect it to come around late May or early June 2024. The adventure tourer will receive a bunch of mechanical and cosmetic updates, compared to the outgoing model.

Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400X price hike

Triumph India hiked the prices of its entry-level motorcycles, the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, in India. Both bikes now cost roughly Rs. 1,500 more than before. While the Speed 400 is pegged at Rs. 2,34,497, the Scrambler 400 X sets you back by Rs. 2,64,496. Notably, this is the first price hike these bikes have received since their India launch last year, barring the Speed 400’s limited-period introductory price tag which stood at Rs. 2.23 lakh.
