– S1 X was launched in August 2023
– Comes in 3 variants with varying battery capacities
– Gets eight-year/80,000 warranty as standard
Ola Electric has commenced the deliveries of its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 X, in multiple cities across India. It was launched on 15 August, 2023 in the country.
The e-scooter is available in three battery configurations including 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh which are priced at Rs. 70,000, Rs. 85,000, and Rs. 1 lakh, respectively (all prices are ex-showroom). There variants of the scooter offer varying riding ranges which stand at 95km, 143km, and 190km. While the top speed of the 3kWh and 4kWh trims is the same at 90kmph, the entry-level model can go up to 85kmph. All the variants come with three riding modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport) suitable for different riding conditions. Interestingly, the S1 X comes with a physical key on public demand, unlike other S1 models which boast a keyless startup system.
One of the highlights of the Ola S1 X, and all the other products in the company’s portfolio, is that they come with an eight-year/80,000km warranty as standard. The customers can also extend the warranty to 1,00,000km or 1,25,000km by paying Rs. 4,999 or Rs. 12,999, respectively. With this warranty program, the company says it’s trying to address one of the barriers to EV adoption which is people’s perception of electric two-wheelers having a very limited lifespan.
