TVS will finally enter the famous adventure bike segment in India this year with the launch of the Apache RTX 300.
Sometime last year, we got you the exclusive information and prototype picture of the Apache RTX 300. Early this year, we got you the picture of the production-ready Apache RTX 300 from the Bharat Mobility Expo and that got the internet on fire. Sadly, TVS had displayed this adventure bike only for a few hours and was later hidden.
The Hosur-based company is now planning to launch the Apache RTX 300 during the festive season. That means the TVS adventure bike will hit the Indian market sometime between August and September. For now, the company will launch the touring variant and eventually bring in the full-blown adventure bike.
This adventure bike will be powered by a 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine that produces 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It is likely to get ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, and a traction control system. Other features likely to be offered could be LED lighting and switchable dual-channel ABS.
Design wise, it looks like TVS has managed to do a good job. From this picture, it is clear that the bike sports a prominent semi-fairing with a tall windscreen, a muscular fuel tank, and a sleek tail section with split seats. There’s also an adventure-styled beak.
The TVS Apache RTX 300 is likely to be priced between Rs 2.6 lakh and Rs 2.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete directly with the KTM 250 Adventure.
