Aprilia recently launched its most affordable motorcycle, the Tuono 457, in India. It is the Italian brand’s second offering in the 450cc segment. Here is a close look at it.
The Aprilia Tuono 457’s design is completely different from its sibling, the rs 457. Since this one is a roadster, the baby Tuono gets a distinct-looking headlight with an LED setup for the main unit and the DRLs.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 boasts a muscular-looking fuel tank with the main frame exposed and angular tank shrouds. It also has a tubular handlebar instead of the clip-ons seen on the RS.
Aprilia offers the Tuono 457 in two attractive dual-tone paint schemes: Piranha Red and Puma Grey.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a 457cc parallel twin that makes 46.9bhp and 43.5Nm and gets a six-speed gearbox.
Aprilia has equipped the Tuono 457 with features like LED lights, traction control, ride modes, switchable ABS, and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Tuono 457 shares its hardware with its faired sibling. The bike comes with preload-adjustable USD forks and monoshock. Its braking duties are done by a disc brake at both front and rear, backed by dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels.
The asking price for the Aprilia Tuono 457 is set at Rs. 3.95 lakh. This makes it about Rs. 25,000 more affordable than the RS 457 and Rs. 1 lakh more expensive than the KTM 390 Duke.
