2025 KTM 390 Adventure – What’s new?

The KTM 390 Adventure has been thoroughly updated for 2025. With this generational update, KTM claims the 390 Adventure has 99 per cent new parts. But, what exactly is new on the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure? Read on.

Authentic ADV styling

The old KTM 390 Adventure had a polarising design, which was loved by some and gates by others. The new 390 Adventure draws inspiration from its elder siblings such as the 890 Adventure and the 1290 Super Adventure. The new design philosophy looks adventure-ready and purposeful. The ADV gets two colour options – Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

More features

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure gets a plethora of features and electronic rider aids. It gets IMU-based lean-sensitive cornering traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control and more. It also has three ride modes – street, rain, and off-road. Besides these, it gets hygiene features such as full LED illumination with a projector headlamp, ride-by-wire throttle, a bi-directional quickshifter, and off-road ABS. It also gets a new five-inch H50 colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

Powerful engine

The 2025 390 Adventure gets the new 399cc, LC4c from the 390 Duke. The liquid-cooled engine produces 45.3bhp at 8,500rpm and 39Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. KTM has revised the final drive by offering a larger rear sprocket. The engine is known for its traceability and punchy performance.

Updated hardware

Unlike the previous-gen 390 Adventure, the new model is off-road friendly and rides on 21/17-inch tubeless wire-spoke wheels. These are wrapped in Apollo Trampler tyres. It is suspended on fully adjustable WP Apex suspension with compression and rebound-adjustable 43mm upside-down forks up front and a rebound and preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

Compared to the older model’s 170mm wheel travel, the new setup offers 200mm and 205mm of wheel travel at the front and rear. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises axially mounted callipers for better leverage while riding off-road.

Increased price

At Rs. 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure has gotten nearly Rs. 8,000 dearer than the older model. While the 390 Adventure may look pricey compared to the competition, the performance and equipment on offer is matched by none.
