A few months after its international debut, Kawasaki launched the Versys 1100 in India. The Japanese ADV made its way to the Indian market recently and is a successor to the previously sold Versys 1000. Here are five of its top highlights.
Design
Kawasaki has carried over the Versys 1000’s design for the Versys 1100. Hence, you see the same sharp front end with split LED headlights topped by a transparent visor. The bike is sold in India in a single paint scheme of Metallic Diablo Black.
Features
Along with LED illumination, the Kawasaki Versys 1100 gets LED illumination, adjustable windscreen, cruise control, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, an IMU, power modes, ABS, and a USB Type-C charging port.
Engine
Powering the Kawasaki Versys 1100 is a 1,099cc inline four-cylinder engine. It makes 133bhp and 112.5Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Kawasaki has tweaked the internals of the motor and made it more powerful while increasing the capacity as well.
Hardware
The new Versys 1100 is equipped with USD front forks with preload and rebound adjustability and a monoshock with remote adjustability. It uses twin 310mm front and a single 260mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels. These are wrapped in a 120/70 front and a 180/55 rear tyre.
Price
The asking price for the Kawasaki Versys 1100 is set at Rs. 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Surprisingly, it is even more affordable than the previously sold Versys 1000.
